Love in San Miguel helps thoughtful singles find their people through curated gatherings, shared experiences, and meaningful introductions.
Membership is free and members receive invitations to community gatherings, volunteer opportunities, speakers, and other events.
Some are open to all members.
Others are highly curated and by invitation only.
Some events are free.
Others have a fee.
Why? Our curated experiences often involve significant planning and coordination, from selecting the right venue and activities to thoughtfully matching guests for meaningful connections.
Event fees help offset these costs and ensure a high-quality experience for everyone involved.
If you want to be invited to curated matchmaking dinners, private introductions, or work directly with a professional matchmaker, the first step is a paid interview.
Great matchmaking takes time. We need to know you beyond an application and a few photos.
The magic is in the details.
Because San Miguel is too magical to love alone.

I'm a collector and curator. Not of art, but of people.
For more than 35 years, I've built communities, hosted gatherings, made introductions, and helped people find friendship, belonging, and sometimes love.
I started my first singles organization at age 18. Since then I've created countless dinner parties, retreats, networking groups, volunteer projects, and communities designed around one simple idea: life is better when you find your people.
Professionally, I spent much of my career helping organizations tell their stories and build community. I was the director of TEDxSanDiego, where I curated more than 80 talks and introduced thousands of remarkable people to one another. In 2018, I gave a TEDx talk,
How to Be a Matchmaker in Work, Life and Love, which has been viewed nearly 200,000 times.
But my favorite work has always happened around a dinner table.
I'm divorced, the mother of three amazing grown sons, and in 2025 I fulfilled a 30-year dream and moved full-time to San Miguel de Allende.
Like many people who arrive here, I came excited and hopeful. I also came alone. I quickly discovered that finding a great lecture, concert, restaurant, dance class, or cocktail party in San Miguel is easy. Finding your people is harder.
Then something unexpected happened.
Two months after I arrived, I met an amazing Mexican man in a dance class. We became friends. We walked together almost every day for two months. One night the goodbye kiss moved from my cheek to my lips.
My friend became my partner. It was easy. It was fun. And it reminded me that the best relationships often begin with friendship.
At the same time, I kept meeting singles who told me the same thing: "I love San Miguel, but I don't want to do life alone."
Some wanted romance. Others wanted travel companions, hiking buddies, dinner friends, workout partners, or simply people who would show up when life got hard.
I understood exactly what they meant.
So I decided to do what I've always done. I started creating the kinds of experiences I wanted to attend myself.
A simple Facebook post asking, "Looking for Love?" sparked hundreds of conversations and became the beginning of Love in San Miguel.
Today I get to combine my passion and my profession in my forever home.
Through curated matchmaking dinners, community gatherings, workshops, adventures, and personal introductions, I help thoughtful singles find friendship, belonging, and sometimes love.
